Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings at Green Hill Farm Caravan & Camping Park:

  1. Undertaking: You certify that you are over 18 years of age and will be a member of the party making the booking. When we accept your booking a binding contract will be made between you, all adults members of your party and Green Hill Farm Caravan and Camping Park . You confirm that you are authorised to agree to these terms and conditions on behalf of all members of your party so as to bind all of you by them and so that each of you shall be jointly and severally liable for your obligations under this contract, including payment of all fees due. You may not assign this agreement to anyone else.
  2. Booking Monies & Cancellation: When booking a non-returnable deposit of £30 (or the cost of your booking if lower) is required. This deposit is non-refundable. The balance will be payable on arrival (except at Christmas, New Year, Easter, May Day, Whitsun Half Term week and during the peak summer season). For holidays at Christmas, New Year, Easter, May Day, Whitsun Half Term week and during July and August the full balance is payable 4 weeks prior to the date of arrival, please note that no refunds will be given after this date. You are advised to take out travel insurance to protect your payment in the event of cancellation. You will also require a £10 returnable cash deposit for a barrier card.
  3. Payment: You are liable for payment of all fees due and any damage caused by a member of your party.
  4. Terms: Prices are per pitch per night and include two adults. Pitches are available from 12 noon on the day of arrival, and must be vacated by 11:00 am on the day of departure. Late departures (until 4pm) may be available subject availability and an additional fee. The maximum pitch occupancy is six persons consisting of no more than four adults.
  5. Confirmation: Once a booking has been accepted by us, which shall be subject to availability at the time we receive your booking form, a contract is made subject to these conditions. On acceptance we will send you a written confirmation showing the dates booked and the deposit paid.
  6. Cancellation: It is regretted that no refunds can be made if you cancel your holiday or depart prior to the end of your booked holiday. Any claims should be made against your travel insurance policy.
  7. Group Bookings: Bookings are accepted for single sex groups or larger mixed groups (i.e. not families or couples) by prior arrangement only.
  8. Dogs: Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the park, and exercised off the park. For the avoidance of doubt dogs must be kept on a lead whilst on the dog walk and dogs are not permitted in the toilet and shower blocks. Owners are required to clean up after their dogs, and dogs must not be left unattended on the park. Dogs are not allowed in the Wildlife Haven area so as to preserve the stress free environment for the wildlife. Any customers seen to be allowing their dogs to foul the site without clearing it up will be asked to leave and their booking terminated without refund.
  9. Children: Children must be under the supervision of their parents or guardians at all times. Children are not permitted in the adults only area of the site, please note there is open deep water in these areas. No children under the age of 5 are allowed in the toilet blocks unless accompanied by an adult.
  10. Entry: We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person who, in our opinion, is not suitable. In such cases all booking monies will be refunded in full and the agreement ended. A £10 cash deposit is required upon arrival for each vehicle for a barrier access card. This will enable you to enter the site between 7am and 11pm as well as exiting the park at any time.
  11. Visitors: Campers are welcome to have visitors, but they must report to reception and pay a visitor fee before entering the site.
  12. Electric Hook-up: For customers requiring an electrical connection, you will need a 20m hook-up cable. If your unit is more than 20m from the nearest electrical point we will lend you an extension cable in return for a £20 deposit.
  13. Vehicles: Caravans must be towed by a private car. We do not accept vans, commercial vehicles or any vehicles with sign writing. The maximum length of caravan accepted on site is 24 feet including tow hitch.
  14. Parking: Only one vehicle is permitted to be parked at a Pitch. All additional vehicles must be parked in the parking area directed by park and the overnight parking fee must be paid.
  15. Speed: A strict 5mph speed limit operates on the park. All roads should be used in accordance with the highway code. Any motorised vehicle or scooter is subject to the same rules as on a public highway. Please note 75mm (5mph) speed ramps are present on roads throughout the park.
  16. Noise: Noise from radios/engines etc. should be kept low with consideration for other park users. Silence should be observed between 11:00pm and 7:00am. If returning to the campsite after 11:00 cars should be left in the car park.
  17. Behaviour: You must comply with decent standards of behaviour during your stay and must show consideration for all other persons on the park. If your behaviour is unsatisfactory, in our opinion, then we may elect to terminate this agreement and require you to leave the park immediately. In these circumstances you will not be entitled to any refund.
  18. Fires: Open fires are not permitted on the site. Wood and any form of firelogs are not permitted to be burnt on the park. BBQs may be used but must be raised off the ground and used with charcoal only. A £50 fee will be charged for burnt grass and guests burning wood will be asked to leave. In times of very dry weather, when the fire risk is high, the use of barbecues may be restricted.
  19. Lakes: No paddling, swimming or boats allowed on the lakes, nor should any items be thrown into the water.
  20. Fishing: Fishing is permitted only with a valid NRA licence and after the daily rod fee has been paid at reception.
  21. Waste Water: Waste water must be emptied into the disposal points provided. All toilet waste must be disposed of in the chemical waste disposal points provided.
  22. Refuse Disposal: Refuse must be placed in the receptacles provided. We dispose of every day waste but this does not include awnings, BBQ’s, chairs, tents, gazebos, carpets, mattresses and other large items – please take such items home with you. Any large items left on-site will be subject to an additional disposal charge of £20 per item.
  23. Liability: We shall not be liable for any loss that you may suffer as a result of any act or omission by any person who is not employed by us. We shall not be liable to you for any consequential or indirect loss that you suffer whether this loss arises from breach of duty in contract or tort or any other way. Except in the case of personal injury or death, our total liability to you in respect of all claims arising out of your stay shall not exceed the cost of your booking. We accept no responsibility whatsoever for your personal belongings whilst they are on the park.
  24. Damage: The facilities at Green Hill Farm Caravan and Camping Park are for everyone’s enjoyment. You are liable for the full cost of replacing or making good any damage caused by your party.
  25. Late arrivals: Guests expecting to arrive after 8pm should inform the management in advance, as your booking may be re-allocated after this time. The latest check-in is 10pm (caravans may use the late arrival area after 10pm but no tents are permitted after 10pm).
  26. Data Protection: Information regarding your reservation will be stored on computer, and may be used by ourselves only for the purpose of future distribution of brochures, tariffs or other advertising material. For the purposes of the Data Protection Acts 1984 and 1998, the signing of the booking form or placement of an online booking request confirms your agreement.
  27. Price Changes: We reserve the right to alter prices at any time without further notice due to circumstances beyond our control.
  28. Insurance: You are strongly advised to arrange a travel insurance policy to cover cancellation and early termination of your holiday. We are unable to provide refunds for such events.
  29. Problems/Complaints: You are asked to notify us immediately of any shortcomings so that these can be rectified for you. We shall have no liability for any matter that you did not bring to our attention during your stay.
  30. Availability: The booking is made on the understanding that the facilities will be placed at your disposal on the dates stated. Should this not be possible due to events outside of our control, for example fire , flood or damage which could force us to cancel your booking, we cannot guarantee to provide an alternative in which case all monies paid will be returned to you in full.
  31. Hazards: There are a number of hazards at Green Hill Farm Caravan and Camping Park which include but are not limited to deep water fishing lakes, a stream, banks, horses grazing and rabbit holes. You will make sure all members of your party are aware of these hazards and take appropriate care when on site. The site is very dark at night, a torch should therefore be carried at all times.

  33. Law: This agreement shall be subject to English Law and to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
